Let's face the truth. Some of you had contacted us for assistance in specific Linux related problems. While our time availability prevents us from helping all of you, we have tried our best to assist. To provide a formal channel for discussion, we have now enabled forums in our web site. You can not only talk about Linux, but can also discuss about Java, design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture, etc.

This is a short announcement. We have uploaded another video on installation of Linux. The whole video is about using and installing a light weight GUI capable Linux distribution called Damn Small Linux (DSL). Also included is a description about the usage of Innotek VirtualBox, a virtualization product.

I am glad to let you know that we have started reaching the local companies and educating them about the trainings offered by Software View. While some of the core trainings are listed with full details in our training page, we will also deliver a large number of trainings if any demand is shown. Furthermore, to match with your exact needs, customized trainings will also be delivered if requested.

Kamal will be delivering an 8 day training on Java Platform, Enterprise Edition 5 at the IT Center (CEIT), University of Peradeniya from 9th of June, 2007.

The 8 day training is conducted only during the weekends and from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. A short 2 day course covering the basics of Java and RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) will also be conducted by CEIT resources on 2nd and 3rd of June.
