Almost all the members of PPSL (Pvt) Ltd concluded going through the Agile Software Development Processes And Project Management training in an effort to improve the process they follow in carrying out software development and maintenance projects. The training was conducted during the beginning of July, 2008.
Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) invited Kamal to deliver a talk on IT Governance and Enterprise Architecture for its members.
The event was held on the 28th of May, 2008 at the OPA Building, Stanley Wijesundera Mw., Colombo 07, Sri Lanka.

A second batch of engineers at Motorola Technologies Lanka (Pvt) Ltd concluded going through a customized version of Software Patterns Training on 05th of May, 2008.
Motorola was happy to request the same training for the second time for the group that missed participating the first training which happened last year.
The company has a highly skilled group of engineers developing software for Motorola products.
At the ISACA board meeting happened on 10th of April, 2008, Kamal was invited to be the Director of Marketing of the Sri Lanka Chapter.

The AGM of the Sri Lanka Chapter of Information Systems Audit And Control Association happened on 19th of March, 2008 at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo. Upon invitation, Kamal joined the board.
ISACA is US based and is the renowned body promoting IT governance around the world.
On 16th of March, 2008, Software View concluded a lengthy training session conducted at Epic Lanka Tachnologies (Pvt) Ltd during weekends.
The company requested both Java Standard Edition Training and Java Enterprise Edition Training. They had evaluated similar trainings offered by other companies in Sri Lanka and were not happy with them. However, the trainings conducted by Software View were well received:
PPSL (Pvt) Ltd which was happy about the Java Enterprise Edition Training wanted the Software Patterns Training for their developers. The training was conducted on four half days from 29th of January to 01st of February, 2008.
A membership day of ISACA Sri Lanka Chapter (Information Systems Audit And Control Association) was held on 18th January, 2008 at Hotel Taj Samudra, Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Due to absence of a speaker, one of the planned two presentations was canceled and Kamal delivered an extended version of his talk on "Introduction To IT Governance And Enterprise Architecture".
Kamal was invited to deliver the Information Technology opening lecture of the Master of Public Management (MPM) postgraduate course at SLIDA (Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration).
About 150 government officers from around the country were present in two batches on 9th of December and 13th of December, 2007. Each lecture went for 5 hours on each day.
